    Abstract:

【Abstract】 Objective To investigate more simple and effective method of rat orotracheal intubation. Methods 40 rats were randomly divided into two groups. The intubation time and intubation frequency, the success rate of the first intubation, the survival rate in 1 week were compared between the improved group and the conventional group. Results The time and frequency of intubation were significantly less in the improved group than those in the conventional group[(10.83?.69) s vs (36.41?.71) s,1.04?.21 vs 1.78?.03,p<0.05].The success rate of the first intubation in the improved group was obviously higher than that of the conventional group(95% vs 60%, p<0.05).There was no obviously difference in the survival rate after extubation in 1 week between groups (100% vs 85%, P>0.05).Conclusion The improved method is superior to the conventional method, Homemade instruments is worth promoting.
