    Abstract:

Objective To establish a model of chronic atrophic gastritis in rat. Methods 20 mmol/L sodium deoxycholate and 30% ,60% alcohol were given in combinatin to rats to establish CAG model for 13 weeks. Pathologic changes of the gastric mucosa were observed by microscope, biochemical indexes were measured with instruments. Results Inflammatory index of gastric mucosa in CAG rats was significant increase, the thickness and area of inherent gland shrunk significantly ; the concentration of free acid and total acid were significant decrease, mucin contents and pepsase activity were significant higher, serum gastrin and malondialdedyeds contents enhanced significantly, interleukin-2 and superoxide dismutase activity decreased significantly. Conclusion Succeeded in establishment of an animal model of CAG, and provided an ideal animal model for the study of chronic atrophic gastritis.
