    Abstract:

Selectins are a family of three cell adhesion molecules:L-,E-and P-selectin. They specialize in capturing from the bloodstream to the blood vessel and mediating roll of leukocytes on the endothelia cell surface. The leukocytes migrate into the inflamed tissue at last. This review focuses on the mechanisms that regulate the express and function of the selectins and their ligands.
