Objective To study the express of monkey B virus glycoprotein D in E-coli cells and detect its antigenicity.Methods BVgD was expressed in E-coli and than purified.The antigenic potential of BVgD was evaluated by Western blotting.Result The recombinant protein BVgD was successfully expressed and purified,and the result of Western blotting showed that the recombinant BVgD had good specificity and sensitivity to react with antibodies to monkey B virus.Conclusion The expressed recombinant protein has no cross reaction with HSV-1 positive serum.This protein is worthy of further development and provides valuable information for research of immunogenicity of BVgD.
