    Abstract:

Objective To study the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptors flt\|1 and KDR in the nude mouse models with various human tumors subcutaneously transplanted by immunohistochemical method.Methods\ Tumor tissues were collected from the transgenic mice and washed, fixed, parraffined, sliced continuously and immunohistochemically stained.Results\ flt\|1 was determined to be strongly positive or positive in the vascular endothelial cells and tumor cells of 11 nude mouse models with various human tumors, that is,human gastric adenocarcinoma SGC,human malignant melanoma A375,human breast cancer Bcap\|37,human glioma U251,human intestinal adenocarcinoma LOVO,human hepatoma SMMC\|7721,human cervial cancer, human gastric adenocarcinoma SPC\|A1,human non\|small cell lung cancer H128,human ovarian cancer 3AO,human hepatoma graft, while KDR was determined to be positive or weakly positive in the vascular endothelial cells and tumor cells of 6 nude mouse models with various human tumors, that is,human gastric adenocarcinoma SGC,human maliganant melanoma A375,human breast cancer Bcap\|37,human glioma U251,human intestinal adenocarcinoma LOVO,human ovarian cancer 3AO.Conclusion\ Coexpression of VEGF receptors in tumor vascular endothelial cells and tumor cells raises the possibility of autocrine stimulation and emphasizes the importance of the reaction of VEGF and VEGF receptors to tumor growth.
