Standardization serves as the fundamental guarantee for controlling the quality of laboratory animals and animal experiments, and enhancing the scientific research level of experimental animals. It also plays a leading role in achieving standardized management and operation of experimental animal institutions. The establishment of a standard system for laboratory animals is an important method to effectively guide the scientific development of laboratory animal standardization. Based on the analysis of the current status of experimental animal standardization in Shanxi Province, this paper constructs a system framework covering source control, feeding management, quality control, animal experiment, welfare, and scientific and technological ethics. It also puts forward suggestions and implementation strategies for the construction of the experimental animal standard system in Shanxi Province, which provides guidelines for the construction of laboratory animal standards in Shanxi Province.
