    Abstract:

【ABSTRACT】Objective Observation of rotenone Parkinson's disease (PD) rat brain iron accumulation area whether glial cell is activated. Methods Male Wistar rats are daily subcutaneous injection of rotenone sunflower oil emulsion (2mg/kg) in 4 to 6 weeks(once per day) for preparation rotenone rat model of Parkinson's disease, making frozen sections, and immunohistochemical staining, Observation of PD rats brain iron accumulation zone microglia (OX42) and astrocyte (GFAP). Results PD rat's substantia nigra pars compacta(SNC), striatum globus pallidus(SGP), dentate gyrus granular layer of the hippocampus(HDG), dentate-interpositus and the facial nucleus of the cerebellum(CDI,CFN) area of iron staining microglia and astrocyte stained integral optical density values were significantly increased compared with normal group. Conclusion Glial cells are activated in rotenone PD rat brain iron accumulation zone.
