Abstract: |
Primary headache is a condition with a high disability rate, particular in young adults. It not only brings suffering to the patients but also places a heavy burden on society. However, the pathogenesis of primary headache is still unclear. The establishment of reliable animal models of primary headache is helpful to explore the pathogenesis and develop drugs for prevention and treatment. Here, we comprehensively summarize animal models of primary headache in recent years from the perspectives of animal model principles, Methods evaluations, scope of application, and advantages and disadvantages. |
