    Abstract:

In this study, we analyzed Q-H bands ( combined fluorescene staining with Quinacrine Mustard and Hoechst 33258, H-bands equals C-bands ) of ten inbred strains mice.Because of C-bands polymorpholism and genetic stability, chromosomes within one cell hava been arranged and grouped according to the size of their C-bands .Therefore, the characteristic chromosomal C-band markers for each of ten strains were made to be the cytogenetic monitoring index .Meanwhile ,the comparative results of biochemical markers with chromosome markers show that in this way, chromosomal C-band markers, which as the terminal markers in mouse chromosome map, have greatly extended the genetic m itoring zone and approached the, ideal model of genetic monitoring in inbred mice.
